lyrics
Sentient beings forced into whirring machines, perceived as food. Sliced apart as blades gleam, can you see the fear in their eyes as they’re being brutally sacrificed. How about I feast upon your soft delicate insides. Bolt gun to the head, a slave for life bred for death. No sense of regret as you slice apart their head. Hung up by hooks and bleed you dry, what gives you the right to choose if you live or die. Now discard the husks to the side. Stuffed into a cage of cold steel next to deceased others as blood congeals. The bodies begin to pile up, but its never enough. Pincers tear and slash rendering flesh a rotting mess. Reduce to a barren corpse by the blade of the butchers knife, the pungent stench fills the air. You become nauseous as body fluids sour, it becomes hard to bear. But this is your currency hence why you don’t care. Hack apart the weak innocent dreams shattered oceans of blood at your feet.

The album description mentions an “emotional apex.” That’s really the difference between Stare and the band’s previous albums. Ulcerate was always supremely technically proficient. I just didn’t care all that much. Their growth has come from making music you will feel. Metallurgical Fire

Heaviest thing I’ve heard all year along with Altarage. Okay I’ve been listening to this record for the past two weeks and it just gets better and better. Dissonant grooves galore Jacob Ballance

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

My favorite current band. Death, Jinjer, Suicidal Tendencies, Blue Öyster Cult, Tool, Faith No More, Jane’s Addiction, Jerry Goldsmith, and Abominable Putridity walk into a bar. There’s a huge fight; then everyone does DMT, and Afterbirth is the result. Metallurgical Fire
